Are you a plant-based chef, a wellness professional, or a food justice advocate with a passion for community empowerment? Afro-Vegan Society is looking for vibrant voices to join our mission of making vegan living accessible, affordable, and culturally relevant.

As we look toward our 2026 programming, we are expanding our reach and inviting experts like you to help our community reclaim their wellness birthright. Whether you are a digital content creator or a grassroots organizer, there is a place for your expertise in our movement.

Why Collaborate with AVS?

When you partner with Afro-Vegan Society, you aren’t just sharing information—you are joining a dedicated network of Black vegan experts and advocates. Our platforms offer a unique opportunity to grow your personal brand while making a tangible impact:

  • National Reach: Connect with a wide network of engaged views across social and web platforms.

  • Multi-Channel Exposure: Your work will be featured across our YouTube channel, email newsletters, and social media platforms.

  • Professional Recognition: Collaborators receive a dedicated feature on the AVS blog, including a professional bio, headshot, and links to your personal platforms.

Our 2026 Monthly Themes

To provide consistent support for our community, we have shifted to a monthly thematic model. We are currently seeking collaborators for a wide range of topics including:

  • April: Earth Month & Sustainable Living

  • May: Exploring Alternatives to Eggs and Beef

  • June: Dump Dairy (Anti-Dairy Month)

  • August: Back to School & Healthy Vegan Kids

  • September: Vegan Alternatives to Chicken

  • October: Vegan Alternatives to Pork

How You Can Get Involved

We offer several ways to share your knowledge, ensuring that your contribution fits your strengths and schedule:

  1. Cooking Demonstrations (15–30 min): Show our community how to create delicious, affordable, plant-based versions of their favorite dishes. We prioritize recipes that use accessible ingredients found in any local grocery store.

  2. Educational Sessions (15–30 min): Lead an evidence-based presentation on health, nutrition, environmental sustainability, or food justice issues centering the Black experience.

  3. Expert Interviews: Join our team for a guided conversation about your journey, your expertise, and your tips for thriving on a plant-based diet.

  4. In-Person Community Events: We are expanding our "life outside" programming! We are looking for partners to lead local workshops, film discussions, and food sampling events in their own communities.

The Collaboration Process

We strive to make the partnership experience seamless and supportive. Our team provides technical assistance, including pre-recording support and live session coordination.

  • Step 1: Submit Your Interest Form. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but we require submissions at least 30 days in advance of your desired theme month to allow for proper planning and promotion.

  • Step 2: Discovery Call. We will schedule a brief call to align on your topic, format, and logistics.

  • Step 3: Onboarding & Creation. We’ll collect your bio and headshot while supporting you through the content creation process.

  • Step 4: Distribution. AVS handles the heavy lifting of editing and promotion, sharing your expertise with our global audience.

Ready to Build Together?

If you have a vision for a session that centers affordability, accessibility, and community wellness, we want to hear from you.

Review our past collaborator playlists on YouTube for inspiration, and identify which monthly theme best aligns with your work. Let’s work together to make 2026 our most impactful year yet!
