Cooked down with onions, garlic, vegetable broth, and a touch of liquid smoke, they’re tender and deeply seasoned. Ingredients

  • 1 bunch collard greens, washed and chopped

  •  1 small onion, finely chopped

  •  2 cloves garlic, minced

  •  2 cups vegetable broth

  •  1 tsp liquid smoke

  •  1 tsp smoked paprika

  •  Salt and pepper to taste

  •  2-3 tbsp olive oil


Preparation

  1.  In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.

  3. Stir in the minced garlic and smoked paprika and cook for an additional minute.

  4. Add the chopped collard greens, vegetable broth, and liquid smoke.

  5. Cover and simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the greens are tender and flavorful.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
