Light, tender, and full of flavor, this Jamaican-style Steamed Cabbage is a simple yet comforting side dish. Sautéed with bell peppers, carrots, and scallions, it adds a touch of freshness and crunch to your Caribbean holiday spread.

Ingredients
½ head green cabbage, shredded
1 carrot, julienned
½ bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 scallions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp water
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
 Heat oil in a skillet, add garlic and scallions, and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
Add cabbage, carrot, and bell pepper. Stir well.
Add water, cover, and steam for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender but still crisp.
Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.
